Perhaps you are in or have graduated from an ITP and you are determined to pass the NIC or BEI. Or maybe you are striving to achieve a 4.0 on the EIPA. Are you already certified but despite all your training and hard work, you know you are still struggling with your reception skills. Maybe you need to expand your vocabulary and simply feel that your signing is not fluid enough. You know you need more exposure to Deaf individuals who are native users of sign language but that has proved to be a challenge.
To provide additional flexibility for participants, ASL Chat with Deaf Language Mentors has been divided into five separate 2-week workshop modules. This updated format allows participants to attend the modules that best fit their schedules while still earning RID CEUs for each completed module attended. The content, mentoring opportunities, and collaborative ASL practice experience remain the same, but the modular structure provides greater scheduling flexibility and more manageable CEU tracking throughout the program.
ASL Chat with Deaf Language Mentors is now offered as five separate 2-week RID-sponsored workshop modules to provide participants with greater scheduling flexibility. Participants may attend the modules that best fit their schedules and earn RID CEUs for each completed module attended. The ASL mentoring, collaborative practice opportunities, and weekly interaction with Deaf Language Mentors remain the same while allowing for more flexible participation throughout the program.
